The Chicago Cubs let Mark Prior walk
The Cubs finally had enough of waiting around for Mark Prior so they did not tender him a contract for the 2008 season making him an unrestricted free agent. Prior missed all of the 2007 season which hurt the Cubs because they were expected him to help out at some point in 2007. Prior pitched in 106 games in his major league career and he is 42-29 with a 3.51 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP. He also has whiffed 757 batters in 657 innings which shows what kind of stuff that he has. Still, Prior is only 27 years old so some team will take a chance on him.
