The Chicago Cubs release Robinson Lopez
The Cubs have released 20-year old righty reliever/starter Robinson Lopez. Lopez pitched in 26 games (4 starts) in A-ball last year and he was 4-3 with 1 save, a 5.35 ERA and a 1.57 WHIP. He has now pitched in 65 games (30 starts) in his first three years in the minors and he is 11-12 with 1 save, a 4.78 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP. The Cubs just grew impatient with Lopez, who will likely hook up with another team soon.
